I am a postdoctoral researcher at the Ludwig Erhard ifo Center for Social Market Economy and Institutional Economics, a member of the Junior Faculty at LMU Munich, a CESifo Research Network Affiliate, and a visiting researcher at the Institute for Employment Research (IAB).
My research studies how the welfare state shapes the economy. I examine how social insurance programs, labor market regulations, and public financing influence labor allocation, firm behavior, and public finances. Using administrative data and policy reforms, my work seeks to understand not only the direct effects of public policy on beneficiaries but also the broader equilibrium adjustments that determine its economic and social consequences.
Some of my current research projects examine how publicly financed health care affects labor markets, how wage regulation influences employment and worker reallocation, and how worker retention policies alter labor market adjustment during economic crises. More broadly, I am interested in the design of social insurance systems and their consequences for economic efficiency, labor market dynamics, and public finances.
I received my Ph.D. in Public Policy (Economics Track) from Harvard University in 2025.
